My family had a caravan when we were growing up and Friday night was tourist night. It turns out there are people who can reverse trailers and people who can't!!! Then there are the ones who can't but will die trying. Brilliant!
DHR I did almost exactly that when I bought my (considered purchase) lawnmower. I sent for the guys manager and explained to him why I was taking my custom elsewhere. Elsewhere advised me well and also got the sale for my petrol strimmer, my chainsaw and all my many and varied servicing and maintenace power tool needs.
On a similar note ...veg. which is shrink wrapped to death ... really gets my goat ... you can easily spend 10 minutes of your life (which you'll never get back) trying to get into a cucumber.
Another pet hate is stickers on fruit ... drives me mad.

Re stickers on food. . . .I didn't remove them when peeling cooking apples and they were still there two years later when I emptied the compost bin . . . . spent ages picking them all up from around the plants.
Hello HFC, know what you mean there are two large campers in our family although they are towed by the appropriate vehicles, the bit I do not understand is at a camp site they take it off the vehicle pull out a cord and drive it into position with its own motors??? Me I would just reverse it in. They came back from the lakes last week and have all gone back this weekend, the grandchildren love it.
Hello Frank - I think the motor-mover gadgets are useful if/when you are unable to see clearly when reversing a caravan into a small space. In the past I was able to manage reverse/parallel parking up the slope on the driveway fairly easily if the caravan had a rear window. Current one doesn't, and when you are on your own with nobody to indicate whether or not you are clear of obstructions it can help wear and tear on the clutch! You need the max capacity type of battery in the caravan to cope with the demand, but it does work well.

Patsy are you spying on me? Or can you hear the ranting from my kitchen as I attend to get the label off my friends gift??

Patsy; than can you tell me where the devil I've put the wrapping paper?? I only brought it this morning how can I have lost it already.
Why do we even still use wrapping paper and fancy bags for gifts. The extras cost more than the actual gift.
