    Not really a Christmas cake fan, but I like making them. It's a struggle not too ...

    Can't face anything 'ox related' since I was a child and threw up in the bath after we had it for dinner...image

    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Much prefer fresh fruit and veg and a nice trout or salmon.

    You can't have all the offal Dove.  I like lamb's kidneys and chicken livers now and then.

    OH always wants an Xmas cake but all that feeding is a pain so now I make Delia's Creole cake about a week before and then he forgets about it so often as not in the past it's been eaten on skiing holidays or at Easter - great snack on garden blitz days.  This year it was eaten last month after all that cold weather gardening.

    I don't get appliqué.   Patchwork teacher insisting it's a skill I need.   Need to find an alternative.

    And lamb's kidneys (I have a stash in the freezer) and liver and heart of all kinds.  Crubeens anyone? image
