Hotlips

Hi found this forum decided to join,I was given a hot lips plant from a tiny plant in April of this year I have potted it on and it has grow really well tiny flower's not to bothered about that ,what I am most concerned is I noticed that the stem has split down the middle some of the branches have come off and now it's looking a bit sorry for its self. No idea what I've done can some one help please.

    You can use unflowered side shoots as cuttings. Otherwise trim it back and let new shoots grow.

    I have taken cuttings of my salvias and they have rooted well, do i plant them in the garden now and will they survive if i do, i haven't a greenhouse , can anyone advise

    Is it a hot lips? hotlips larger plants are hardy here in the East Midlands. A rooted cutting may not be. I would give it some protection the first winter if you can.
