Anyone know what this weed is?

Just found a really weird plant under a bush.  Its got really long stems and pale green ferny shaped leaves.  The roots are spreading wide and go really deep.  Is it a weed you know??

I will attempt to attach a photol

I don't thnk an oriental poppy has such long and strong layering woody roots - you can just see them in the bottom picture spreading out to the left.

The photos aren't very clear. Is the stem at the top of the first photo another piece of it. Which shrub is it under, could it be a part of it?

    Have you got any Rhus/sumach?

Its under a Spiraea  which I have just pruned.  But I think you may have found the answer - the next door garden has a Rhus/sumach tree right near my fence and I think the roots may have grown underneath - the leaf is certainly similar.  At least its not Japanese Knotweed!!

I get all sorts of things coming from under the fence as these neighbours moved in 3 years ago and have not touched this long bed next to my fence - however they keep their patio and bbq area immaculate!!
