Evergreen Turning Brown and Yellow
Hi,
My extremely large old evergreen tree is turning yellow and brown over the last few weeks/months. Can anyone please help provide some information. I have attached picture. I am unsure as to what age the tree is, but it is quite old.
We also had an abnormally wet winter in this area and a number of plants in the vicinity have had problems as well. Also the council had to fix a leaking pipe outside the wall near this evergreen which could have been contributing to these symptoms over the last while.
Any information/advice would be greatly appreciated.

I think if it's diseased then the tips tend to yellow first but it doesn't look like that is happening to yours. It does sound like the excess water from the broken pipe is likely to be causing it; I think it should resolve itself so I wouldn't panic just yet. It may be easier to gauge if you're able to remove the dead bits...
Thanks Bob. I hope that it recovers. The leak was fixed a few weeks back so hopefully it will start improving soon.
