    Yes, I think so to Hosta. Mine don't seem to survive winter, so I sow a fresh batch each year.

    Hi Verdun,

    I'm in London and recently our winters haven't been too bad. I'd like to take cuttings but am a bit of a novice. Would I use rooting powder to get them started?
