Please can someone tell me if this bulb Is the Nerine Bowdenii I think it is.
It was looking a little lost and probably planted too deeply. I will trying rapidly replanting and see what happens. Thank you. I have several of them.
Gurnsey Donkey - The only plant that I can find that looks similar is Euryops Acraeus. But even then some of the images seem to show some plants that have ferny foliage as well.
Fritillary, Nutcutlet and everyone else who has searched for me - I don't think it is Euryops Acraeus either. I have searched through my RHS book but cannot find this darn pretty plant. I will keep looking, but in the meantime thanks you all for your time. Sorry, but I will be back with more plants to name soon!
In the meantime, Lamweedy, although I have a few Nerines I am unable to tell one from the other in the bulb form.
To be honest nutcutlet, I can't remember which garden that particular plant was growing in. I look forward to any results you may find. It appears that there will be no more open gardens this year - at least there hasn't been any for the past 2 - 3 weeks.
it' hard to see the leaves on the OP but they don't look like the much divided leaves of Anthemis tinctoria to me. It's still Anthemis tinctoria, whatever cultivar name it's given
Oh Ladybird, thank you for sending the link, but I really am not sure it is the same plant that we saw in that garden - the Anthemis tinctoria flowers are on taller stems than the one that we saw, which was far lower. It is a mystery plant, but it was such a lovely, low, neat and dense plant and there were plenty of buds on it - so looked really healthy.
GD what a wonderful excuse for paying another visit to the garden and finding out I never need any excuse for going to Garden Centres. They are far more lovely than going shopping in the awful anonymous shopping malls that are springing up everywhere. I feel claustrophobic in malls - far preferring the high street where I can see the sky and breathe real air.

GD, I think you said it was in an open garden. Can you ask the garden's owner?
Have to admit not started my research programme yet

Just had another thought, could it be a type of yellow gazania. There are so many to look through, I was going cross eyed.
