Thank you. This would be my second time use of any chemical for feed but it has come to a stage that i dont have much choice. After that first weed and feed experience, i didnt buy any chemicals and have been weeding all the borders by handtools. Actually i am getting better in my weed removing skills.
In one hour i can fill my garden recycle bin with small weeds like dandelions, that too with lots of intact tap roots ?
I love my tools. Ignore the pavement, i was yet to run that weeding brush on it.
That stuff in the bin looks like it would make lovely compost. I only use mine for sticks and other very woody stuff. If you've got room, it might be worth starting a compost heap.
I've just about got rid of my clover Newb, but it's taken a bit of patience - I went at it with some feed & weed a couple of years back which got rid of it enough of it for me to hand pick in subsequent years (not a big lawn though). My trick was to get under it with a fork (not into the soil): and pull up the grass so you can see where the clover meets the soil and you can then pull thw hoel thing out, and it doesnt return. Oh, and as with most weeds, if you can't get it all out in one year, whip off the seedheads so it can't get any further hold!
Ver's comment about greenness - I think that's in relative drought conditions where the grass itself yellows, and clover stays green. I'd rather have the grass and water it a bit than have to deal with clover every year!
Hmm the fork thing sounds interesting. I will try that. Previously i tried raking it out with a hand rake but that didnt work. Getting fork under it and pull up is a good idea.
And my compost bin. That is a whole another story. They are Black holes. I have a feeling instead of compost, some day future generation will get petrol out of it!
yes way too much weed to pull out. I am thinking i will go for a mixed approach. Two rounds of weedkiller and handweeding when and where possible. I ordered weedol yesterday, so i will have today or tomorrow. I love amazon prime.

You lot are great. I feel home in this forum.
I sprayed the clovers with weedol on Saturday. There were two short spell of rain since then. Do I need to spray again?
Is it ok to water the lawn now?
How long should I wait before spreading grass seeds?
