    Confusing them with edible bay could be a problem, don't eat them wear gloves and I'd agree dont  shred having read that there has been reports of gardeners getting drowsy stories of death through transportation of clippings is a apocryphal. However some one took a leaf out of Caesar,s book and killed his brother with water poisoned with laurel leaves. Caesars the guy from Rome,not to be confused with dog food for bushie faced small dogs.
