Problem wih Apple Tree

I have just noticed the leaves on one branch of my apple tree wilting and on investigation I can see a raised orange substance on the branch.  Also there is an apple which is soft and orange in colour....Help what do I need to do?image

Thanks

It could be brown rot https://www.rhs.org.uk/advice/profile?pid=114

Not sure if that would be the cause of the orange goo on the branch so maybe you could post a photo to expedite a diagnosis.

    Hi Rosebud,

The problem you have is a fungus called coral spot. You can google this and see what you need to do or failing that I  can send you my phone number and we can make contact. I had a similar problem.

    best wishes
