White splashed cosmos
My huge cosmos plants have suddenly developed white spashes on the foliage. It almost looks like they have been spattered with white paint!
i can't see any evidence of bugs of any sort - and the plants are still beautifully healthy and producing hundreds of flowers.
Is this caused by a deficiency of some sort or maybe a fungus or blight?
thanks

Looks like splashes caused by weed killer.

Thanks punkdoc - but definitely not weedkiller.
I don't use anything like that in my cutting patch. have attached a couple of photos showing some of the plants
in case that helps someone identify the problem.
thanks in advance!
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
One of my cosmos plants looks the same.I put it down to my young grandson spraying it with the hose pipe in very sunny weather. Mine look like sun scorch patches The plants next to it escaped with only very slight damage. The new leaves produced since then are perfectly ok. He thought he was doing me a favour bless him. Hope yours will be ok.
