Rowan dieing probably waterlogged -
Hi
From scanning the internet and using a moisture meter we are pretty sure that our Rowan is dieing due to roots being damaged from waterlogged soil. We have worked the soil to try and improve drainage but are unsure what to do with the dead leaves and branches. We estimate about 40% leaves are damaged. From our reading we know we need to see what happens in the spring. Grateful for any advice - should we prune the dead branches?

I would leave the branches as they may not be entirely dead, the leaves may have died back, but the branch itself might be fine.
is there any chance of moving the rowan? even lifting it up onto a small mound where it is now might help.
The garden is pretty small so not much chance of moving. The tree was planted 2 years ago and we are pretty sure that the small little branches are dead or dieing. I have tried to upload a photo but not sure if I have managed it. thanks for the advice - much appreciated
if its only been in the ground two years you should be able to lift it and replant on a slight mound (or even in a large pot that's had its bottom removed)
