Fuchsia berry

what is the difference between fuchsia berry plant and any other fuchsia the berries look the same to me and the two fuchsia berry plants I bought this spring has identical flowers to one I have had for about 5 years and the berries look the same? I haven't tried tasting any yet!!

Hi PotterAngie. Basically there is no difference - they are just different varieties of the Fuchsia family. I ate a few berries from one of my Fuchsias some years ago but I wasn't too impressed but maybe they have developed better flavour since then.
Heh heh heh Verdun! Agree about the seeds though. My berries were watery and tasteless.
Only difference is that they were selected for taste rather than the appearance of the flowers.
I nearly bought some earlier this year, then nearly just bought a regular one to try the berries but then couldn't decide on one as there were too many pretty plants.
If they produced a winter hardy version with berries that had better reviews then maybe...
I hear in the USA they grow runners for flowers and deadhead them rather than have them in the veg plot.
