Hebe/caryopteris
Please excuse the mutiple questions, im new to gardening and am learning on the job so to speak. Done a lot if reading and look at all the posts to pick up tips but i am seeing some weird stuff in my garden this year that just doesnt seem to be covered, re my recent post about pale coloured/ oversized plants.
Q1- i planted 10 caryopteris dark knight plants and most of them arent coming in to bloom yet, plants appear to be healthy, isnt this late in the year?...aberdeen
Q2- i have 5 hebes in the garden of two different varities, these are existing plants so i dont know what variety. One came in too bloom mid July and sent out huge displays of flowers which are now just fading, the other 4 show no signs of blooming at all. Again the plants appear to be very healthy?, Any idea what could be up...
Q3- my catmint and lavender are fading, should i cut them back now?
Thanks for any feedback

Hi Dave
caryopteris are late flowering, mine aren't out yet
catmint stems can be cut right back any time
Lavender flower stems can be cut but don't go back in into old wood, stay in the green.
How old are the hebes?
In the sticks near Peterborough
I guess the hebes are 2 to 3 years old but really quite big already, wasnt really interested in the garden last year but do seem to remember they did all flower, just find it weird that one out of the bunch was smothered in flowers, the others not at all. Thanks for the other feedback
