is my plum tree dying?

the tree is older then me, im 28, its just always been in my back yard but it used to always be a beautiful tree and the fruit would be big and perfect.

now its ugly, branches are bare,  every leaf on it has dozens of holes in it, ( bugs i guess but ive never seen bugs on it)

the fruit is now spotted and falls off the tree while not even ripe yet

and there is a mold type stuff growing on the branches

this is a fruit on it that is still in perfect condition. their are very few like this plus the leaves around it are still all pretty much intact.

and this is the gross looking fruit that is on the branches with bare spots and holy leaves

and here is some pics of the mold, i can only assume its the major factor for why the health of this tree is so poor. i have never seen mold like this on a tree before

that last one tried getting a close up but sunlight was ruining everything lol

anyone know if this mold/fungus is the culprit?  or maybe its just dying from old age

I should think the fungal stuff has moved into dead/dying branches. If you pruned off all the branches that are like that, would there be anything left? I don't think there's any hope for a branch as in the last photo.

    Sorry

  • someone told me my tree is infected with Coryneum Blight (Shothole Disease)

if its true and my whole tree/every branch and every leaf is infected.... does my tree have any hope? is it fixable when its this far spread.

every google post i read just said prune off the infected stuff, but everything is  infected lol

I'm no good at disease ID but I can see when a tree is terminally sick. I'd get rid of it now. It's hard when it's been a good tree but everything dies eventually and for this one the time has come.
