same hear with my sea hollies. The have been removed today from their infertile, well draned soil in a 10 hour full sunny position.

I do loose patience with plants that have been given the best/correct conditions and do not produce.

Now pondering on what to put there but i will wait and see before deciding

When you think how much plants cost, particularly when you do buy online where plants choice is more abundant and sometimes cheaper but adding delivery charges sometimes make it expensive.

Because only 3 plants flowered out of 7 then they all need replacing

    Hi Daisy

All my Sea Hollies Big Blue are are banded togetther in my boarder. They were supposed to combine agaist a wall of Lobelia Tania that is planted behind them. As 3 flowered out of 7 I have decided that my clay soil is not right condition for theses plants. I left the soil without any added compost but added grit and sand to give the plants the free drainage they needed.

Sometimes in gardening one has to except defeat and move on

Go with what you've got. Didn't some country have the winter Olympics in the desert - for what?? If a plant isn't happy, why force the issue. Choose the right plant for the right situation and relaximage

    In London. Keen but lazy.
