    My favourite is "She's not there" but unfortunately she is and she's making my bergenia look like whole different plants. They would fail an ID test on here. image

    B3   Yes, I enjoy squishing them image   I have to use a trowel to lift slugs though.

    Definitely not life size. Length is normally about half an inch maximum,often less. (from end of snout the back that is.

    There are thousands of types of weevils.

    This is the Weevil that is running about my garden, he's about 4mm long and comparing with Berghill's picture, then not a Vine Weevil.

    Sorry the pics aren't up to my usual standard ( not wanting to sound like a big head ) but he is very small and my macro lens only goes down to 1:1 life size.

    Thanks Lantana, pleased you like them...I agree about looking closely enough, I never new I had so many tiny creatures living on and about the planters until tonight.

    Definitely a weevil, but not the dreaded Vine type.
