Wisteria graft failure

My 6 year old wisteria has suffered graft failure. New shoots are appearing from below the graft . Can I train these in ? They are vigorous and look healthy . Will the plant be substantially different ?

most probably yes and you could be waiting a while for the new growth to flower before you find out what colour it is (almost definitely blue)
