Downy mildew and reusing pots

Unfortunately my sugar snap peas suffered from downy mildew this summer (managed to get one crop before it struck thankfully!). So i was planning on moving my dwarf buddleia or dwarf verbena bonariensis into the pots for next year. I know downy mildew tends to leave spores behind in the soil and so it's unwise to grow susceptible plants again in the same soil, but would either of these be ok?

I always wash my pots thoroughly before planting anything else in them ecokid, unless it's something that's only had a plant in it for a short time with no issues. A  rinse with a bit of mild disinfectant before re use would help  too.
