Salix willow tree rust

imageimageimageI purchased a new Salix (weeping willow) this year for our new garden. Unfortunately it has developed rust on the leaves. Any idea why? And how to deal with it please?

Rusts rarely do any serious damage to trees, just make them look rather unsightly. Collect all the leaves up after they fall and get rid of them in your Council green bin and this will remove some of the spores of the fungi which cause this.
