Hi all, if you're growing chillies, how are you getting on? Here are mine.

So I guess you would be absolutely correct in calling that a 'Hot House'  image

    Looking good Logan!

I'm afraid not this year but I did last year. I have a great recipe for a chilli lemon sorbet which is delicious! My brother is growing them for me this year. I think I got a bit despondent as apart from the chillis last year my tomatoes were frankly rubbish and I am sure it had something to do with the disgusting summer so I didn't bother to plant any. I might feel more inclined next year.

My "Apache" are ripening. Tiny plugs potted up in April, growing in a 6x4 plastic greenhouse in Manchester. image

Thanks Lady B ?. They're one of my few successes this year despite the weird weather. My toms and cukes have been awful.

Yes they look great,Kitty2.I had no cucumbers this year, tomatoes are ok.image

  • My tumbling toms are doing great outdoors but my greenhouse chillis and my bell peppers aren't ripening yet :(

My chillies have yellowing leaves couldn't understand why until I went to the plot yesterday.

Depending on weather I've been going two to three times a week to water. They don't get as much water as the toms, I keep them slightly drier and water from the bottom.

The guy on the next plot said he had watered my GH a couple of times thinking I'd not been doing it...image...I know he means well and waters when I'm on holiday. They look over watered and have stopped flowering, Apache, normally a heavy cropper is a tad bit disappointing.
