Barnsdale Visit.

I have just visited Barnsdale Gardens which I have wanted

to go to for ages and I must say it did not disappoint .

Its layed out just as Geoff Hamilton would have left it all those

years ago. I think its great when the next generation take

over and just carry on as Nic Hamilton has.

I recon we all wonder what will happen to our gardens when

we leave, unless they are a decent size by todays standard

a lot of front gardens will become glorified parking plots

unless more gardeners are created.

Still its always good to visit other gardens for fresh inspiration.

Good post John.  I want to go too.  GH is my gardening hero.

Based in Sussex, I garden to encourage as many birds to my garden as possible.

  • Hi Muddle-up you should really visit Barnsdale I would imagine its at its best early on in the year.

Like most of our gardens by this time they are starting to look slightly faded unless you are good

old Monty Don who keeps planting most of the year it seems.

I have always enjoyed G.W,no matter who presents the presenters all have their own ways of adding

to our entertainment. I do love to see Nigel and Nellie following Monty around.

The thing about Geoff was he always inspired me to make stuff for the garden out of any waste

material lying about which in my younger days when money was tight really helped.
