Galega! Villain or welcome guest?
anyone growing Galega Coconut Ice?
been growing for a season now but unsure of its wandering habit.
Lovely plant above ground but, in anyone's experience here, is it a problem below ground?
the wild officinalis is troublesome I think but not a lot of info about Coconut Ice anywhere

Time will tell Verdun, time will tell
Looks nice Verd. White flowers?
Would it be hardy here? Could be nice in my south west-ish facing border at the sunniest end
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Is it galega officinalis ?
One of my clients has one Verdun and so far it stays put. Personally I can't stand it.
I had a look at the pics and wholeheartedly agree with Dave.
RHS call it Galega officinalis 'Coconut Ice'
others Galega x hybrida 'Coconut Ice'. Must be G. officinalis in there somewhere, just waiting to seed and appear as officinalis all over the garden,
I'll stick with officinalis proper. I like it and it suits my garden. I'd leave it right out if I were you Verdun
In the sticks near Peterborough
Here we grow the white form and a couple of lilac coloured, all grown from seed, and a Lady Wilson ??
They get a bit top heavy but are beautiful border plants, much admired by visitors.
