Strawberry Toscana - Distorted fruit

My strawberry plants 'Toscana' look really healthy with pretty large deep pink flowers.  The problem is, as strawberries start to form they look normal but as they get larger the fruit becomes distorted and then they shrivel.  I water then regularly and potted then on in good compost this year. does anyone know what I can do to stop this from happening?

Distorted fruit can be due to poor pollination.  If you can't put them somewhere with more insect visitors, try using a soft brush to hand polllinate the flowers.

A trowel in the hand is worth a thousand lost under a bush.
