Swiss Chard/Bletts

I have some swiss chard grown by our neighbour. Last year I just cooked the stems and some of the leaves with some white wine, red onion and parmesan etc. However this year I have way too much. How can I freeze it and can I just chop it up like cabbage and freeze it or does it need to be blanched? Can I basically use all of the chard apart from the centre stem? I have left some of the leaves for the chickens but not sure whether it all freezes that well.

Thanks in advance.

I freeze quite a few veggies without blanching, but NOT spinach or chard.  They need cooking first

Thankyou. I thought as much. Yes it was nice. Will have to blanch the rest. Certainly goes a long way. Try is with garlic, red onion, seasoning, reduce in white wine and add parmesan in at the end!
