I have a pond but made it into a sunken rockery with heathers and mint and two huge rocks as easier to do than a pond. Probably a bad idea?

Heathers generally require good drainage. I presume you've removed the old liner.
Mint is pretty rampant and may swamp your heathers.
If you are happy with it then that is all that matters!
Yes I am happy with it. Thanks Hogweed. You are right about the mint it did cause a problem. I am afraid I kept the liner. It does not really cause me too much problem. Thank you all for your help.
