seed collecting from own plants

is it possible to cpllect seed from your own grown garlic and shallots

    Yes, but you would have to let the plant grow a flower spike to produce the seed, and in so doing the plant would use up all the energy in the bulb and it would be useless for cooking.

    You might be better off to save some bulbs you grew and break up into cloves and plant those..October is good..

    That is what I will do.. I grew Marco suitable for growing in the uk..
