What should "Indigo Apple" tomatoes look like??
in Fruit & veg
Hopefully the photos will illustrate my point: are these 'ok' or just the weirdness of the summer growing season being reflected in the fruits in my tiny unheated greenhouse??

They look delish!
I don't know your variety, but I grow Black Russian and they go through similar stages until they're almost mahogany.
I googled Indigo Apple they look amazing - a big black splash at the top and the rest bight red mostly

Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit.
Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad.
Thank for your prompt responses, Pete8 & Pansyface: I bought 3" potted seedling/ 8" plants from Wyevale Garden Centre in Carmarthen. *The plantlets were a trifle 'leggy' (half-price reduced), but I potted them on immediately - so they romped away into tallish, healthy-looking plants before going into deep earth beds in my greenhouse. The fruits are 'clean' but as I was concerned about blight, I have only watered into sunken 4 pint milk containers upended (minus bottoms!). *Tasting notes will follow as I've yet to have any 'samples' deemed ripe enough!
BTW: I bought "Artisan Pink" plants at the same time - they have yet to produce any ripened fruits...??
**Have now read the reviews in the link offered, Pansyface: seems folk either love 'em or can't abide!! Await tasting with added interest...!!
