Garlic varieties?

Can anyone recommend varieties of garlic for autumn planting?  I am looking for a variety which produces the biggest possible individual cloves and which stores well.

    If you don't mind a milder garlic taste, the largest possible cloves come from Elephant garlic.  I'm harvesting mine now which were planted last autumn and each individual clove is as big a whole bulb of a normal garlic.

    thanks - I was really looking for normal garlic if you have had good results with any particular variety, both large cloves and good keepers.   Many thanks
