Where to plant rhodedendron

Can you plant a Rhodedendron in any soil but just feed with specific rhody food?...

They are much more tolerant than azaleas but still require ericaceous compost and feed. If you live in a hard water area like I do then it's best to use the water butt. Dig a hole and fill with acid soil, plant slightly above ground.
