Aquilegia are easy from seed. you can sow them fresh and they germinate within weeks. Or sow as Carrie Thomas (Touchwood Aquilegias, National Collection holder) advised some years ago. Sow in a cold GH in January. no heat, they germinate about March.
Thanks Nutcutlet. What happens if I have put aquilegia seeds into a pot now, and they haven't germinated? Do you think they will start to germinate later for example in March as you have suggested?
I just checked and one of the Nora Barlow mix seeds have started to sprout. But it's only one.

I'm not so sure, I have a weed like that which grows in the cracks in my concrete and drives me nuts as it's so invasive.
