Pond care

I have pulled out lots of plants from my pond because they were taking over and the water lilies were cramped. This left a lot of disturbed soil etc. We have cleaned out the filters full of sludge  twice...is there anything else you can suggest to settle the pond Water. It doesn't seem to be bothering the fish but the water is constantly brown.

So long as your fish seem healthy and happy (are they still eating ok?) it's probably just the silt.

As pansy says, just be patient. It'll take a few weeks for it to settle

It's not a pressurised filter system just a static header tank fed by a submersible pump. We've cleaned it out twice, last week and this week, since I removed the plants. We will wait a few weeks, cleaning the filters each week and see what effect that has. The fish are happy, feeding well. Thanks for your replies.

Did one more clean out of the filter and then replaced the foam with new and the water is as clear as a bell now.  ?
