Yellow flowers

Big bush in small garden, bees absolutely love it, just don't know what it is. My son now has an acre of garden (wilderness) and I thought that a couple of these bushes would help to fill space. I'm retired so will be his resident gardener so steep learning curve. Thanks.imageimage

  • Hypericum, probably  'Hidcote' or similar. Prune/tidy up in early spring.

Very pretty, some kind of Hypericum.  Hypericum Calycinum?

Could you take a close up of a flower (and foliage) please.  They are very lovely.

I love hypericum but some find it a bit of a thug depending on which one you have.

  • Thank you all for the information. It is definetly a Hypericum but comparing it with images on the net can't yet quite work out which one. Good thing is that because of this I now know the name of another plant in the garden which is Hypericum Androsaemum. Pictures for Wayside, the bush is around 9 feet high.

They are a beauty, lots of front gardens have them around here. Some even have them as a type of hedging.
