Seagulls

Every morning I find the red dianthus in it's pot upright in the middle of the lawn. This has been going on for a couple of months.

I thought we had poltergeists but I caught one of the baby seagulls dragging it there with it's beak.

No other dianthus has been touched, he only likes the red one image

Weird.

Is there enough space to put a brick in the top of the pot overnight?  That might stop him image

Or tie a bungie cord to the pot and watch the little b*gger keep trying to shift it then. image

haha, it's out there again in the middle of the lawn image

There isn't enough room for a brick, bungee maybe. I'm going to have to plant it in the flowerbed and we'll see what happens then.

I think it might try and pull it up. You could try pinning an upturned hanging basket over it for a few days so that the bird loses interest?

I think it must be the colour that attracts it Alina. It never goes for the pink ones image
