Seagulls

Every morning I find the red dianthus in it's pot upright in the middle of the lawn. This has been going on for a couple of months.
I thought we had poltergeists but I caught one of the baby seagulls dragging it there with it's beak.
No other dianthus has been touched, he only likes the red one
Weird.

Perhaps he has hopes of a career in garden design Lou
In the sticks near Peterborough
You know what kids are like - full of odd ideas
Me too
Is there enough space to put a brick in the top of the pot overnight? That might stop him
Or tie a bungie cord to the pot and watch the little b*gger keep trying to shift it then.
haha, it's out there again in the middle of the lawn
There isn't enough room for a brick, bungee maybe. I'm going to have to plant it in the flowerbed and we'll see what happens then.
I think it might try and pull it up. You could try pinning an upturned hanging basket over it for a few days so that the bird loses interest?
I think it must be the colour that attracts it Alina. It never goes for the pink ones
