What is this ??

Hi,

I'm currently on holiday in Devon and the local pub had these cut flowers in vases on the tables. I've never seen them before. The flower is very rose like but the stem and leaves seem more carnation like. Any ideas ?? image

    LISIANTHUS.

Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

  • Thanks very much, I would like to try giving these a go once I'm back in Essex.

So many lovely gardens down here, so many new ideas to take home x

Also known as Texas or prairie rose, by which you can probably guess it's American.
