Vegie garden project

Hi everyone , I have a small part of my garden that id love to start growing veggies and fruit from , at the moment the ground is pebbles with concrete and I don't really want to start digging it up any ideas what I could lay down over it to level the ground ? I was thinking bark ? Also do you think I should install a clean perspect roof ? To keep heat in for the likes of tomatoes ?

The he space is around 10 foot long an 5 foot wide not a huge space but perfect for growing as it gets allot of sun an it easy to protect from birds/cats etc ...

Hi megan. Are you thinking of raised beds on this area? Why are you thinking of bark as a leveller. Is the area not level enough? Where is the clear perspex roof going? I think it would be useful to have a lot more information and a picture of the area would also be helpful.

If you don't want to dig up the concrete, you could maybe consider growing fruit and veg in large planters bearing in mind that they will need watering on a regular basis.

As ladybird says, it would be useful to have a photo of the area.
