Stringy Beetroot

Hi, some of my beetroot are stringy. Fibrous threads, once cooked and cut into. Do you think it maybe a soil deficiency? Thank you.

    thanks guys - unlikely, but possible. I regularly water every other day, but maybe not enough. ?. Thanks again for your replied
