Whats eating this hedge?
Hi
The leaves on my hedge are full of holes and some have gone brown and dry. I have attached a picture above, the whole hedge is affected can anyone help to identify the issues and possible treatment?
It is worth noting that this type of hedge was planted in front of most houses on my housing estate and they are nearly all affected by this issue.
Thanks

It looks like leaf spot fungus and shot hole disease. I copied and pasted this info from the RHS and hope it will help:
Non-chemical control: Little can be done by cultural means to prevent infections when conditions are suitable. Plants usually grow through the problem, with new leaves being unaffected when growing conditions change If the attack is very unsightly, consider trimming to remove affected leaves and encourage new growth. However, avoid heavy pruning as this will stress the plants and may aggravate the problemFeeding may be helpful, although laurel is usually robust enough not to require itChemical control:
The fungicides tebuconazole (Bayer Fungus Fighter Concentrate), tebuconazole with trifloxystrobin (Bayer Fungus Fighter Plus), and triticonazole (Scotts Fungus Clear Ultra and Scotts Fungus Clear Ultra Gun) are approved for the control of powdery mildews on ornamental plants and would probably give useful incidental control of shothole fungi as well, although this is not claimed by the manufacturers.
Thanks for the info. Looking closer I notice my other plants have similar symptoms, this includes bay trees, olive trees and fruit bushes. Would this fit the disease you mentioned?
Thanks again
