I love marmalade LB the blacker and stickier the better.

I take it The Grouse is purely for antimicrobial properties. image

Somebody started a recipe thread the other day. You should put it on. That would be brilliant...actually growing it on your own tree. I'm inspired!

I'm not sure how to share - do I just copy and paste?

Oh my. Techno glasses on. image

Place your cursor in the www bar at the top of the page at the extreme end of the address. The address should go blue. If it doesn't then left click. Copy. Then come all the way back here and paste and hit enter to make it into a link.

Hey thanks pp. I did just do it again on that thread but that info is really useful for future reference.

We used to get the best citrus fruits in Cyprus and I could make 3-fruit marmalade for pennies back in the '70s.  Those were the days!  I would go to the orchards and buy bags of 20 lemons, 20 oranges and 10 grapefruit and spend the next 2 days stirring large pans of fruit and potting up in large Kilner jars.  We came home in March I remember, and I packed a box with about 20 jars, padded out with Styrofoam 'peas'...kept the family going for a couple of years!

That's amazing Ladybird - looks deliciuous and what's a calmoudin tree? In a microwave too, brilliant. Have we figured out where the recipe is? I think I need to try this too. Going to make some for my dad but it'll have to be with his Glenfiddich. :-)

Speaking of lemons - when I lived in Canberra which is slightly warmer than our present mountain retreat, we grew a Eureka Lemon. It was the most amazing tree. It produced lemons all year round and wasnt as sweet as the Myer which a neighbour grew. Don't know if you can get them in UK. They made great Lemon Butter (lemon spread).
