Does anybody know what these lovely looking plants are?

Hi there! 

Could anybody tell me what these lovely plants are called (the ones with the long yellow plumage)?

    Do they look like these - as you say 'plumage' as opposed to flowers.

    Similar, but they're thinner and longer... About 3 feet in length. I'll try and get the photo to upload today.
