Poorly Photinias

We have 2 photinias in front garden that have quite dramatically in last couple weeks had leaves browned as if they were scorched! They have been there for many years with no trouble. Although we get red spot every spring, i have never seen this before...The Photinias in the back garden are as yet fine. Any ideas, advice gratefully recieved....

The sudden hot spell, I suspect. If the new growth is still looking ok, then they'll be fine. Water and more water. Perhaps reduce some of the leafage with a light prune, then a half strength feed.
