Kilmarnock Willow (I think)

I have a weeping willow and the more obsevant among you will notice something not quite right!!! image

I can clearly see where the "other" trunk is so could I drill holes in it and pour in SBK to kill it or would that go back into the roots and kill the whole thing? Although I'm not a fan, I'd hate to lose the tree.

The two trunks are pretty much welded together so I don't see sawing it out as on option.

Thanks for any advice.

the weeping bit is grafted onto the upright bit. if you kill the upright bit, you'll kill the whole tree.

Nothing for it but to get in there with secateurs

That's what I thought HF. It's a nightmare doing that. It's the biggest one I've ever seen and it beats me to death. image...and then there's my poor hump... image
