Tasteless Tomatoes

Why for the first time in my gardening life, have my Shirley tomatoes been so tasteless and seedless, absolutely tasteless, feel like ripping them out and composting them, no fear of seedlings no seeds, grown in the glasshouse in the same way as always, never happened before.

Could it be the horrid weather we have had this year? I bit into a chocolate cherry tomato yesterday and it was missing some of its amazing flavours and whilst the sungolds are as tasty as ever, they aren't exactly record breakers when it comes to size (beads). The plants themselves haven't developed in their usual robust manner and I put it down to a lack of warmth and sunlight.

I do think it has something to do with our strange weather.

Think you are both right, that is what I am putting it down to, I have been gardening for many years, and have found this year the most daunting, onions have rust looks like the leeks too, and potatoes weren't a big as usual, never been this bad previously.

Don't think they heve been overwatered, I have been gardening too long to make that mistake.
