Sunflower mutant
in Plants
anyone seen a sunflower like my mutant before. It has one flower bud/neck with three flowers co joined together and another trying to come though too. It's weird....

It is an example of a phenomenon called fasciation where parts of a plant become thickened and distorted. We have had quite a few posts on here talking about fasciation occurring in all sorts of plants.
I wonder if fasciation is caused by something in the soil, seeing as I have it again. 🤔
