Hello everyone : )

Ive moved into a new home and trying to identify these plants before they set seed and its too late.....

I avoided them during weeding because they were in a grouping that looked planned by previous owner, but a whole swathe of smaller ones have now appeared elsewhere and Ive just seen some simillarish but not identicle images of nasty invasive weeds online, so......does anyone have experience of these? Thanks for looking : ) Liz

More goosefoot!  Chenopodium album - an edible weed but will seed itself everywhere.  Get rid!

This is my first time on this forum and Ive just got the answer in 10 seconds,  to something Ive been searching the net for the last 2 hours trying to solve. This could become adictive ; )

Welcome Liz and feel free to post as many images of unknowns as you like - we love identifying things here and photo's like yours which show the whole plant as well as close-ups makes things a lot easier for us. image

Back from pulling up plants. It was in front (very open) garden and neighbours probably thought Id had a funny turn yanking out all these big plants that I had carefully laid weed membrane and slate around ?

They are chopped up ready for putting in compost bin (presume they cant regenerate from cuttings..?.But Ive got a (slightly ) HotBin so hopefully they wont survive anyway)..

Bob, I could really have done with this help when we moved in. I think I sacrificed a lot of perfectly decent perrenials, but I knew if I didnt make quick firm decisions early, come summer there wouldnt be enough hours in the day to pull out all the wrong'uns once they had made themselves obvious with their flowers.

    Thank you again!

Thank you nutcutlet. My one finger speed typing on a tiny tablet doesnt do me any favours! Thats my excuse anyway.
