    thanks everyone!

    a decision has been made... i bought 2 pyracantha saphyr orange and 1 yellow at lunch. can't wait to get them home and planted image

    Yay, I have loved pyracantha for years, it's so beautiful in every season. I keep mine to 6 foot but it can grow bigger if you want.

    A lot of people round here keep them trimmed like box hedges but I think they look nice a bit wild.

    this is for the end of the garden which i plan to turn into a wild area so i'm just going to let them do their thing and probably won't be trimming!

    can't wait to see how they grow and change in the seasons
