How long before planting out conifers and cypress?

just a quick one!
we are still designing our beds and borders for digging this autumn (ground is a bit tough right now and we still can't use our hose (broken outside tap and no connectors for our indoors one!)
local GC has some great deals on small trees, so id love to get some of the ones we planned on - but would they be ok in their sale containers until sept/October time? If it's a dry autumn it could even be early November

They should be ok as long as they are watered and fed regularly. If you have any concerns you can always pot on into a larger pot until your bed is ready for them.
Thank you! I wasn't sure how they'd respond to potting in-between planting but I guess they don't mind a bit of root disturbance!
