i have just collected lupin Seeds...... Now what do I do with them ?! I have no greenhouse/cold frame etc as I have on just started gardening ! Thank you
Hi emmapym. Just store your collected seed in a paper envelope - in a cool dry place - until next March and just sow them into seed compost then. If they look a bit dry and shrivelled, just soak them over night before sowing and they should plump up. You do not need a greenhouse or cold frame - a sunny windowsill will do. Be aware that the plants from these seeds will probably not look like the parent plants as bees will have done a lot of cross pollinating but you might get some nice varieties.
Cacoethes: An irresistible urge to do something inadvisable
I have just posted for help with Foxglove seeds! I might do some Lupin seeds too once your advice is in - although I will need to decide if I can handle more slug-attracting plants to look after!

Can we not sow them now? What will happen if we do?
You could sow them now but it is the over wintering that could prove problematic.
Great thank you :-) x
