Narcissi- to grow in pot or not

TinglyTingly Posts: 140

Hello everyone

I bought loads of narcissi jetfire last year that were already grown and planted them in clay soil- which was quite hard to do

1. Do you think they will come up next year?

2. Should i grow some in pots in the greenhouse to fill in any 'Holes'

3. Is it possible to plant bulbs in ground in a sort of holey plant pot so i can find them if i dig in the wrong place next year and uproot them by mistake

I think it is quite likely that your bulbs will reappear next spring but there is nothing wrong with your back-up plan of putting some into pots. There are special planting baskets for aquatic plants that are nice and holey so you could use these for your bulb planting too.
