No male pumpkin flowers

Hi all,

Finally got one of my Dill's Atlantic pumpkins to take, and it's pretty big now (vine about 7ft long). About a month ago it put out one male flower, which soon died away. Since then it's only put out females, but with no male flowers to pollinate them, none of them are growing any fruit.

Any ideas on what to do?

Cheers

My squashes are mainly producing male flowers - maybe we should introduce them? image

But seriously image  most squashes start off producing mostly male flowers and then the females come along - I've not heard of them doing it the other way round.  Could you acquire another squash plant (maybe  a courgette/marrow etc from a garden centre) which is just beginning to flower?  Plant it nearby and it can pollinate your pumpkins for you.

That's the best solution I can think of.  Good luck image
